Security Engineer - up to £70,000 - Central London
InfoSec people are seeking an experienced technical Senior Security Engineer to join a well-established, dynamic eCommerce business based from my client's office in Central London.
As the Senior Security Engineer you will be working directly with the Head of Information Security and will be responsible for leading the implementation of a variety of security tools across the organisation and have knowledge with setting up and configuring these. You will be a self-starter and happy working independently.
You would be responsible for:
-Building and maintaining scripts to automate and deploy security-related cloud based resources (AWS/ Azure)
-Investigating and managing security threats and vulnerabilities and respond to the risk promptly to protect the organisation.
-Managing the development, refresh and implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures
-Performing regular security reviews, audits and risk assessments.
-Assisting with the development and implementation the organisations Information Security Management System through to achieving and maintaining IS027001 certification.
-Working to improve the organisations security product and ensuring OWASP vulnerabilities are mitigated by design.
You will have:
-Extensive experience of security in AWS, Azure and/or hybrid cloud environments.
-An understanding and proven experience of DLP/IPS/IDS technologies and can construct custom signatures and investigate intercepted traffic/logs.
-Technical knowledge of vulnerabilities, threats, attack methods and infection vectors. Along with knowledge of compliance, patch management, anti- malware and access control management tools.
-Experience of working with secure engineering principles, privacy (DPA/GDPR) and compliance laws and standards (OWASP, ISO27001, ISF, NIST).
-Proven analytical experience to troubleshoot and solve complex security problems.
-Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum environment ideally.
CISSP along with GSEC/GCIH/GCIA certifications are beneficial but not essential for this role along with knowledge of working within eCommerce and the logistics market.
