Data Engineer - Gloucestershire - £40k-£65k dep on experience

InfoSec People are seeking highly talented Data Engineers to join a ground-breaking Cyber-Tech company based in Cheltenham, Bristol and London. You will be involved in defining, developing and maintaining complex, service-oriented applications within their large-scale data intelligence platform using the company's bespoke cutting-edge data analytics tool. As a Data Engineer, you will work alongside the Data Scientist team where you will be responsible for the Data Processing, Analytics and Data Storage tiers.

This is a rapidly growing team of gifted technologists, with ambitious plans to expand further over the next 12 months, whilst preserving an exciting and compelling place to work which has a "google-esque" feel.

Responsibilities include:
·Interpreting user requirements and respond with a intelligible technical solution
·Working with other developers and stakeholders in feature development
·Helping to define, develop and maintain large-scale data processing systems and applications
·Keeping abreast of advances in the field and making recommendations for future technology choices

Requirements include:
·A proven background on working on complex distributed systems in big data environments
·Comprehensive experience of one of more of the following: Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Java, Node.js, Hadoop. Spark, HBase, MongoDB
·Familiarity with developing RESTful services

You will have exposure to cutting edge technologies and development methods, working with some hugely capable people in a supportive team atmosphere.
